ZZZ Bear’s Sgt. Sleeptight

As The Baby Sleep Whisper and an expert on everything sleep hygiene related, I love it when I come across wonderful products that not only work to help families sleep better but that also have a wonderful mission I can stand behind. My family and I recently received ZZZ Bears’ Sgt. Sleeptight— an adorable, cuddly teddy bear and four-step sleep approach that’s designed to help children feel secure when they’re struggling with bedtime fears. I absolutely love this product!

Sgt. Sleeptight is an all-natural sleep aid that solves the universal problem of children who have, at one time or another, nighttime anxieties that prevent them from sleeping. Whether it’s a new home, a thunderstorm or something your child can’t yet voice, putting Sgt. Sleeptight on duty helps children (and parents) get the rest they need. Here’s what’s included:

  • Sgt. Sleeptight
  • Door hang
  • Sleeptight Oath that parents and children read before bed that officially puts the bear on duty
  • Stickers shaped like military commendation medals that are awarded to children who sleep through the night

I love what ZZZ Bears created, what is stands for, how it “protects” children and gives them a sense of empowerment, and its mission and philanthropy to children of parents that have served our country. What a wonderful way to show our troops support while implementing a very simple, effective sleep routine for children.

Through its donation program, ZZZ Bears has partnered with TAPS (the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors) and the Fisher House Foundation.

TAPS offers compassionate care to all those grieving the death of a loved one serving in our Armed Forces. The Fisher House Foundation is best known for a network of comfort homes where military and veterans’ families can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving treatment.

I recommend this product for children ages two and a half and older. (Remember, the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends no lovies for babies under one year old.) The price point is very affordable at $24.95. My boys, ages 6 and 9, fell in love with this sweet bear when he arrived, and they were eager to see what he did. They absolutely wanted him to stay in their room. They are amazing sleepers but they loved what the bear represents.
